Can I add the extended version and shorter version to a 16” barrel

Both models of the Lancer Replacement Handguard for Sig 716 will work with the Gen 1 Sig 716 16" barrel.

Like the longer version for the 516, is removal of the handguard required to remove and clean the gas Piston system?

Yes you would need to remove the hand guard to clean the piston.

I would call up manufacture for your firearm and give them the serial number and see what you have.

Will this work with the Sig 716 Gen 2 patrol? I know it says not compatible with the gen 2, but i wasnt sure if that meant the patrol or the dmr.

What length is the extended version? Why is that not posted on the description or if it is why is it not easy seen.

We are working on revising this on our website now and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. The length for the carbine unit is 7.4″ and the length on the extended unit is 13.1″.

What does it weigh and what does the factory hand guard weigh

The carbine length weighs 11.04oz, the extended version weighs 13.92oz. Unfortunately we do not have the factory handguard, so we cannot provide you with the weight figure.
