Depending on what you are calling a dovetail.
If you mean the small 11mm dovetail, like on .22's or air rifles, no, it is not compatible.
BUT, most red dot sights are designed for Weaver/picatinny rails. Which some call a dovetail.
In this case, YES they are compatible. I have two and am buying more of different heights.
