The Butler Creek Flip-Open Scope Covers will work for the Leupold VX-Freedom 4-12x40mm Rifle Scope. For the objective lens you will need size 27 and for the eyepiece you will need size 13. This covers can be found at the two links below.

Ballistics are pre-calculated, allowing for accurate holdovers at maximum magnification
Quick target acquisition with thin lines at the center
First hold-over: 300 yards

What size Butler creek eyepiece cover and objective lense covers does this scope use?

Butler Creek really doesn't have any covers that are going to fit the VX-Freedom 4-12x40 eyepiece or objective lens housings very well. I would recommend the Leupold Alumina lens covers for a perfect fit.
