How does it clamp on to the barrel?  There are no visible screws or moving parts.

Yes, There is a screw in the front of the sight that clamps the sight to the barrel.

with barrel diameters ranging from .819" to .842" ( 20,80 mm to 21,40 mm) for standard shotguns and .858" to .882" (21,80 mm to 22,40 mm) for heavier gauges.

The sight blade is adjustable this is meant for the BAR11W style rear sights

This LPA Front Shotgun Ramped Tritium Sights should work with a Winchester SXP. It will clamp onto the barrel.
