Is the color of the FDE actually darker than in the picture displayed? It looks more like dessert sand to me.

If you mean will it adjust back and fourth on the tube? Yes!
If you mean will the cheek rest adjust up and down? Yes!
If you mean will the butt-plate adjust in and out? Yes!
If you mean will the butt-pad adjust left and right and down? You guessed it...Yes!

Can this be used with .458 socom?

The MBA-3 stock will work with .458 rifles that have carbine style buffer tubes and are to specifications.

Will this fit the Vltor REA5 A5 receiver extension?

The MBA-3 stock will fit the Vltor RE-A5 tubes but ultimately not slide and lock all the way in the most forward 2 positions because the length of the tube. It can use the back 5 positions as normal.
