Unfortunately we do not carry a version that will work with the newer LED bulbs.

Not quite correct. I've owned several Mag-lites, starting from the first-generation 3D-cell, and it's not the switch assembly itself. I've put aftermarket LED upgrade modules in where the bulb normally goes, and the diameter of the bulb socket is the same. Specifically, the LED module has a base of the same diameter as the old incandescent bulbs, as well as the plastic "base" for the newer Xenon replacement ones.
The problem lies with the inside diameter of the top end of the "new" screw collar. The bi-pin "newer" bulbs are designed in such a way so that the retaining collars hold on to the "lip" molded into the bulb base fit directly into the larger lip of the "new" collar. You'd have to find yourself an "old" style one to be able to fit an aftermarket LED bulb. (I keep all the spare parts I can find for these things; of course, the ease of serviceability is part of what attracted me to the Maglite brand).
If all else fails, take one of the newer collars and grind away part of the "lip" at the top. Use a Dremel, on low speed, with a fine milling or grinding bit. Go a bit at a time, pausing to gradually test fit the "modification".
