These should work just fine. Drill out the rivet, push down the tab,
the end plate comes off just fine. The riveted mags are 5 round
mags, you have to remove the u-shaped block inside the mag.

I have GI issued Colt 20 round mags and the Magpul followers will not work with my 20 round mags. My 20 round mags have a tab that you depress to remove the bottom plate which riveted onto the mag and it's not removable. The 30 round mags do not have this tab which allows the Magpul followers to work on the 30 round mags.
