The button for that is on the back on left side of clock right next of the 12/24 button.

how do I get the clock to switch from daylight saving time to standard time

You would have to reset it. But the clock will automatic change from daylight saving time to standard time by itself.

Is there an outdoor temperature sensor/transmitter included and if so how is it powered and how far away from the clock can it be mounted?

There is no sensor or transmitter that comes with it. The outdoor information is being sent in when you set it up the clock to your time zone. Just like how it will change to daylight savings for you when the times comes so you do not have change the time yourself.

On the very back of it has a folding standing behind it. So it can stand up on a desk.
