No, these MDT LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis System models are for Savage Rifles. Unfortunately there is currently no MDT LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis System for Ruger American Long Action Rifles.

I have a savage 110 Apex hunter in 308... isn't that a short action and not a long action? Will the short action work for my rifle?

You can use the short action model 10 MDT LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis System for your rifle. MPN:103259-FDE (fde) or MPN:103259-BLK (black).

(Yes, we offer the LSS-XL in the Savage LA inlet, if its an older 110 with a staggered feed then the chassis may have to be modified)

Will this fit my savage 110 bolt bottom release.

(Yes! We support both common bolt release positions for a Savage rifle, both top and bottom will work without issue. For the bottom bolt release, there is a slot milled in the side of the chassis which allows the insertion of a tool to activate the release)
