Will this work with the LSS GEN2 chassis from MDT?

This will work, but you will also need to get the Carbine to Fixed Adapter as the LSS Gen2 is only available with the Carbine buttstock interface. Look for MDT part number 102254-BLK, here on the Optics Planet website

I didn’t see anything that states this is for an MDT chassis only. Will this fit a Howa M1500 which uses an AR style stock?

This will fit any bolt-action chassis system that is able to accept a full AR buttstock. It needs the hole for the buffer tube, then the inverted teardrop shape, and locating tab.
