I am currently using this on my NY compliant. It would be very hard to remove. To clean my mag I remove the bottom plate leaving the magazine locked into the reciever.

Once you install the this item with a magazine, it’s permanent. The only way to remove the magazine is to destroy the mag lock with a drill press or another techniques.
