yes you do not need to remove the optic from your rifle to replace the battery all you need is a coin you don't need any screwdriver if you have a nickel or a quarter it'll work trust me it's super easy and it does not rattle off either if you tighten it even with the coin it'll stay put I definitely recommend this optic it's absolutely outstanding
