Installation requires replacing the trigger and hammer pins with bolts supplied with the mount. To remove these pins, one simply lifts the safety spring out of the grooves built into the two pins and then push the pins out to the left.

As some components of the fire control group are under spring pressure, I would recommend professional gunsmith installation. If you are used to breaking down the AK trigger and hammer assemblies, this installation will not be a problem.
