NcSTAR doesn't say, but I would count on losing an inch.
Typically, you want an inch or so at each end to cushion impact, so I wouldn't cut it too closely.

IIRC with mine it is on the inside and its a tight fit, a 10.5" will have to be torn down to make fit.
Which isnt so bad as it can still hold a lot of stuff.
Last time I took it out to the range I could stuff in the bag
16" SOLGW upper with griffin muzzle break(which isnt small) with a steiner p4x1 1-4
10.5 SOLGW upper with YHM-5m2-qd and blast shield
2 lowers for the uppers, one pistol one carbine both the same lengths with stock/brace collapsed and that was literally about it, I could stuff my slings in a place or 2 but just left them at home because its a static range and we really just get to shoot on the line.
