How does it compare to the Schmidt and bender PM II 5 to 25 x 56?

That is a very subjective question, we believe our optics compare favorably to any optics on the market. We will stack our ruggedness and repeatability against any other optic.

Not knowing for sure what the diameter of that specific barrel is, we'll have to give you the information below.
If the diameter of your barrel is .825" or smaller (Sendero Style), you can go with the 1" Medium rings- Part number A223
If the diameter of the barrel is over .825", you will have to go with the 1.125" High rings- Part number A224

Yes you can switch the illumination in the reticle from red to green. For that particular set up I would recommend a ring height of 1.125". As with all mounting hardware these are just my suggestions, there may be factors I don’t know about and there are many other ways to mount this optic to your rifle. I highly recommend mock mounting everything first and double check your dealers return policy in case there is something about the set up you wish to change. If you have any other questions please let us know.

You're going to need some extra high 34mm rings or you can use a single piece mount like this item: https://www.opticsplanet.com/spuhr-34mm-cantilever-riflescope-mount.html?_iv_ring-height=38-mm&_iv_code=SPR-MT-34CNTLM-SP-4016 MPN: SP-4016
