We recommend no lower than 1.375" with most finding their most comfortable head position at 1.5" Our Unimount or Ultramount would be recommended choices.

The barrel diameter is crucial in selecting the proper height. If the barrel diameter is .82 or less, you can go with the .885" low rings (part number A118). If the diameter is greater than .82, you'll have to go with the 1" medium rings (part number A101) to achieve the proper clearance.

There are a number of options for this setup but for your specific request the following would be the standard recommendation. The A293 Remington 700 SA 20MOA base with A101 1" Medium rings. The flip caps are the A473 Eyepiece cap and the A474 Objective cap.

It's a Nightforce so yes. They've had customers put the NXS line on rifles as big as a 50bmg(small considering the next 2) the 14.5/114 Russian, and even the 20mm Vulcan(fires a 1,757gr bullet! at 2,720fps w/30,000ftbls of energy at muzzle!) And that customer had OVER 4K rounds through it with the 20mm Vulcan and many barrels! All that from just 2 customers & with no loss of zero or tracking or any other feature too. It can take whatever is thrown at it, and it is the scope maker choosen by the Navy SEALs to go on the FNH SCAR 17S they have to use on missions, & theirs are full auto too. Also the brand most other JSOC & SOCOM units(S&B & Leupold Mark8 the others).choose for their DMR, SPR, CSASS, & Sniper Rifles.
