Not thermal. Infrared, needs an IR emitter (ie, flashlight) to see after dark.

Yes it comes with a ir flashlight and mounting kit. It is ok out to about 100 yards. There are many inexpensive ir flashlights that would be an easy upgrade. ATN also sells a couple that are reasonably priced. This is an amazing deal on an amazing scope. There is nothing out there even close for the price.

how is the warranty handled for an OPMOD product like this? Does ATN handle problems and if they have to send a replacement it's an opmod one?
