Rosco Bloodline barrels are made of 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel but they are NOT CHROME LINED. They are nitride treated. I used the word "treated" because unlike the chrome lining process which literally deposits new material on top of the barrel steel (in this case within the bore), the nitriding process infuses the top 3-5 microns of the barrel steel with nitrogen and 11 other herbs and spices to produce a slick, resilient and corrosion resistant finish. Nitriding will not be as resilient as chrome lining but should last 12,000-15,000 rounds so long as you're not doing mag dump after mag dump. the trade off is, nitrided barrels tend to be more accurate than chrome lined barrels because the bore finish is more uniform.
