Yes as long as the end is flat and not angled and the material is subject to magnetism.

Does the OPMOD fits into a 308 Rifle and 7 mm Winchester!

The Sightmark OPMOD 1.0 Limited Edition Green Universal Magnetic Boresight will work with a rifle chambered in 7mm cartridge like 7mm Rem Mag as well as .308 Winchester.

Since it attaches itself to the flat end of the barrel and is " universal " it would seem that as long as your barrel was flat and susceptible
to the magnetic pull of the site that it would work.

If this works by magnetically sticking to the end of the barrel, wouldn't it only work correctly if the muzzle was trued on a lathe to 90 degrees?

That is correct, however the vast majority of barrels are trued so it is typically not an option.
