will this mount fit a pre 64 model 70 short or standard action

Thank you for reaching out. Our Winchester Model 70 rails were designed to fit Post-64 Model 70 actions. While they may fit some Pre-64 actions, we cannot guarantee fitment based on variances from that period. You can verify the screw hole spacing that would match this rail - both front and rear being 0.860" apart (center to center).
