I have my PRi handguard on an LR-308 pattern rifle with a rifle length gas system, the 6" X 3/32" hex Allen key provided by Superlative arms reaches the adjustable gas block with a 15.75 inch tube on a 20 inch barrel just fine Depending on your setup you may be able to aquire a longer t handle hex key (3/32")that will reach down the tube to the adjustable gas block, from the front of the unloaded and safed rifle. recommend using a chamber flag so you don't muzzle yourself with a loaded firearm.... hope this helps.
