It is NIJ level IIIA rated so it is designed to stop large caliber, high velocity handgun rounds. So it will stop pistol caliber rounds up to 240 grain .44 MAG at 1,430 ft/s or lower and 125 grain .357 SIG at 1,470 ft/s or lower, including all lesser pistol calibers.
