At 1x it can be used as a standard red dot, but after increasing magnification, the A2 post will not be visible.

The scope reticle should look past the front post, but I have not run into the problem, I mounted my scope so the reticle is over the irons. I prefer the higher mount on all my optics now, it’s easier and faster to bring to shoulder and aim, less bending my head down. I use a quick detach mount on all my scopes though.
