Updated response: It will not fit an AR-15 nor an AR-10. It will only fit LR308 type lower receivers.

Previous Answer (given by Carly R.) is factually incorrect. THIS UNIT WILL NOT FIT AN AR15 lower receiver. This is a PWS MK2 series upper, and therefore will fit ONLY LR308 type lower receivers. Specifically, it will NOT FIT the AR15, AR10 (Armalite Type) or LAR308 (DPMS Type II) lowers, and will only fit the originally patterned DPMS LR308 Lowers. NOTE: the LAR308 spec (DPMS Type II) is shorter than the original LR308 (DPMS Type I).

The correct series upper for the AR15 from PWS would be the Mk1 series - - So Mk1 = AR15; Mk2 = LR308 (AR10-Style)

NOTE: Most 80% pattern 308 receivers are the LR-308, and these MK2 uppers are a great option for finishing off a homegrown paperweight build.
