This particular Trail Camera is indepent of your cell phone plan. If you want to use Sprint, https://www.opticsplanet.com/spartan-gocam-cdma-evdo-sprint-certified.html would work as an alternative.

I have unlimited data with Verizon. Will This require a separate data plan, even tho I already have unlimited? Will my monthly phone bill be higher?

You purchase the data through the app. The data plans start at $10 and there is no contract, so you can have it set up during the hunting months and deactivate it when not in use.
