Pulsar warranty is a 3 year warranty on mechanical parts (eye piece, lenses, adjustment knobs and on/off switch), laser diodes, LEDs, night vision intensifier tubes, digital CCD chips, CMOS chips, thermal cores, LCD and OLED displays.

can the N550 be used on a 50 caliber Beawulff?

This unit is recoil rated for up to 6,000 Joules, if your 50 Beowulf load recoils under that it will work.

You can use as arrives with AA batteries, but will need to replace frequently. Best to get power pack. BTW- mine works great SO FAR! Will have to see about longevity.
