Would an AR with a 16” barrel fit in the duffle if the upper and lower are separated and placed in the bottom?

Is this duffle bag waterproof ?

It is not waterproof, but it should be water resistant. The 600D nylon exterior should shed water fairly well, and the PVC lining should aid in keeping any water that does start to penetrate the shell dry for a while, but the zippers are not waterproof or protected. You could aid in water proofing the bag by using a spray or something similar.
