The J-GL8S is for the Ruger GP100. Safariland does not list a Comp II speedloader to fit the Colt Python.

The J-GL8S is for the Ruger SP100, it will not fit your Colt Python. Rumor has it S&W L-Frame (6 shot) speedloaders will fit the Colt Python (see Pachmayr Aluminum Speedloaders website). However HKS makes one speedloader for the S&W L-frame and a different speedloader for the Colt Python.
