There really isn't a simple way to know that. The easiest way I am aware of is to go to the Safariland website and enter what you want then match it with a model number here. 773 is obviously the model. The next 2 or 3 numbers (850 or 53 in your examples) is the size group it fits. The 3 numbers in the third part actually mean 2 different things. The first 2 numbers being color (48=basketweave black) and the third number is right or left handed (2=left and 1=right). The last section of numbers or letters and numbers is the mount. 150 and 2 simply meaning for a 1.5" or 2" belt. The other code it can end with that I am familiar with is ms34 and ms36 meaning it is mounted to a ELS34 fork (ms36 also includes ELS35 plate). So 773-83-121-150 means 773 - 83(size group for Glock17 and others) - 12(plain black) 1(right hand) - 150(1.5" belt)
