The difference between the QLS Model 3 and QLS Model 4 is a small additional feature on the Receiver Plate in the Model 4 package. The receiver in the QLS Model 4 is the QLS-22L (compared to a standard QLS-22 in the Model 3). The QLS22L Receiver has 2 small protruding tabs at the bottom of the receiver which allows the accompanying QLS-19 Male fork to lock in as just as it would on all QLS systems, but have additional retention and pressure locking in the fork with much more strength. If you have ever inserted and removed a QLS-19 Fork into and out of a QLS-22L Receiver, you would notice that it is considerably more difficult and puts much greater pressure on your fingers, especially if the holster is larger than the palm of your hand which forces the end-user to use 2 hands to press together on each side of the QLS-19 fork far enough to finally release the 2 married pieces. Bottom line, its harder to both insert and remove adding to a stronger marrying of the receiver and plate.
