The Samson Field Survivor for Magpul MOE comes with its own base that snaps into the Magpul MOE, just like the one that comes with the grip. But though they both clip into the grip, the Samson one is different, the tool snaps into it. Also, use the grip attachment bolt that Magpul sends with the MOE. It has a flatter head. My rifle that came with a Magpul MOE from the factory had a bolt that sticks up a lot more inside the grip, which made it so the tool barely latches in there.
