This comes with a standard mil-spec buffer tube, so the positions will be 6.75", 7.5", 8.25", 9", and 9.5"

Comes with a 6 position buffer tube. The reason it says 5 positions is because of the locking pins position. Since its to the rear more it cannot catch the 6th most collapsed notch on the mil-spec carbine buffer tube/receiver extension. It will collapse the entire way, but by shear placement of the locking pin it can’t reach to lock. So only 5 positions can be used. I have it on a Colt LE6945 pistol and I only have 3 locking positions. Since most Colts use the 4 position receiver extension. What i like though is that I didn’t have to change the factory staking on my Colt to use a pistol brace. Thats an incredible benefit in my opinion. The SBA4 coming out changes where the locking post is to the more conventional placement so that one I assume will be able to use all 6 positions. Having the locking tab/post more in the middle/front with lever to the rear instead of the front like the SBA3. This is a Fantastic brace! Best in my opinion at the moment.
