Where is this scope produced? How does it compare to the platinum series 1-8 scope?

Pretty sure this scope tube is manufactured at or near the same place as the platinum line as is the Vortex Razor. I have heard Shepherd and Riton optics are very similar in design and functionality as well for an additional reference point. While Shepherd is part of an American company located in Florida, it's components are most definitely sourced by Japan.

Does this scope have the dual red/green reticle feature like their Rugged 1-8?

Why does the photo of BRS 2B Reticle show a 16x view for an 8x Reticle? Also shows verticle mils that are not shown on the mfg site? Which is correct?
