This optic is always on and automatically adjusts to the ambient light and its surroundings sampling the levels many thousands of times per second.

I believe this is an always on sight with 9000 hours. So change battery every year. Still not enough info on battery life since it auto adjusts.

No the Sight is always on ,surely shake awake is a gimmick if you seriously need to use a red dot then always ready must be the way to go
