As far as I know. You shouldn’t shoot .308 from a rifle chambered for 7.62. You can shoot 7.62 from a rifle chambered in .308. The pressure from a .308 round is greater.

Yes. M1A, Springfield product, will shoot both 308 and 7.62x51. Definitely the x51. It is not an AK. Iwi Tavor factory also confirms this in there Tavor 7.

Yes indeed. 7.62x51 can, for sure, be fired in a 308.
