Traditionally Hollow Point bullets have a larger opening at the front of the bullet or a polymer tip to help produce more rapid expansion. Open Tip Match ammunition are manufactured in a way to produce a more consistent and accurate bullet. They are produced by having the lead core poured into the Copper jacket from the hole in the tip of the bullet. The Sig Sauer Elite Hunting Solid Copper .300 AAC Blackout 120 grain Open Tip Match ammo will expand on impact but will not be necessarily as rapid as hollow point.

I was told the copper is rolled producing an open tip...I have killed many wild hogs ...coyotes and whitetail deer...175-225 whitetail deer with this copper ammo...ALWAYS CONSISTENT performance...mushrooms and keeps traveling...yes it damages meat ..that is what produces humane kills...well if you like deer ribs they will be damaged...cheap No but quality costs
