China? Where’d you get that info? Sightron scopes are made in Japan and the Philippines. This particular model is made in the Philippines at a Sightron facility. Sightron’s higher end scopes lime the SIII line are made in Japan.
There are a lot of good scopes produced in Japan and the Philippines. Companies that assemble scopes in the U.S., source glass from Japan.

this as all Sightron scopes are made in China

They are made in the Philippines. I asked Sightron directly. They cut , polish and coat the glass in the same facility. Fantastic scope for the money.
