No it doesn’t, its friction only, mine stayed perfectly tight but i also had the sb model tube. You want it tight, but not so tight you can’t adjustt it to your arm. Because straight up and down wont be comfortable if use it as intended. Just remember this of corse wont work on tubes that a stock would fit on. Only for round tubes only. Just pistol style buffer tubes.
