The cover will fit diameters from 1-3/8 to 1-5/8. As far as "holding up". Absolutely no problem. With a titanium can, I would definitely purchase a cover to protect my investment. It helps with mirage control and cans as you know get VERY hot. At some point people always forget this fact and gut burned. This is an good preventative measure.
