Magnification doesn't increase accuracy, proper shooting form does. In Olympic and most ISS, no magnification is allowed. And they are the most accurate. Learn trigger control, shooting stance, breathing, pick a few ammo and do a bench test to find the best for your gun. 24x power makes the whole picture shake and every heartbeat shows. Mostly for rangefinding, target sighting, and the most highly trained or bench shooters. Check out military high power matches, you could do that. That said, I am considering this scope. I would range find at 24x, but shoot at lower powers. A good shooter with a 4x or 6x is not handicapped at all, except in the most extreme cases of specific target shooting.
