It will not as this is more of a night vision camera than an actual monocular and is not rated for any recoil.

I clearly states it is rated for 4000 rounds of .223/5.56 and has a rail mount you can purchase to mount it on a gun. If you have questions the Sionyx Website has a nice video about mounting it to a rifle.

Technically yes. The “black” and “pro” versions are rated for 5.56. On a positive note, the dimmest reticle setting of a sight not rated for nv use should still work fine since there’s no risk of damaging a digital nvd with exposure to the light source, but since you’ll need to mount the device behind your optic, all your optic’s specs regarding eye relief and such will be superseded by the aurora. You’ll likely end up with a complicated setup roughly comparable to an entry level nv dedicated riflescope. For similar rapid sight acquisition to a reflex sight you’ll probably be better off pairing the aurora with an ir laser.
