No, in this version the two internal padded handgun pockets are built-in. They are removable in the larger version of this bag (Officer Tactical). In this bag I can fit two original hard plastic pistol cases along with two loose pistols, one in each internal padded pocket, plus eye and ear protection all in the main compartment. The five external pockets (one large zippered, two hook & loop and two small zippered) can hold a bunch of other stuff too. It's a great bag, well made.
