I have 2 BCA 7.62 Side Chargers … the SPIKES BOLT fits my 7.5 perfect. However doesn’t fit the the 16” at all won’t close and open. Had to smash it in and bang with hammer to get out. I put a DIFFERENT spikes bolt (I bought 2) and it didn’t fit it either. Both SPIKES BOLTS fit the 7.5 tho. I believe BCA quality control is to blame. If it doesn’t fit just call them and send it back.

I have Colt"Sporter"7.62-39mm in A/R 15 platform,appx 30yr. old.Will this bolt head work in the gun with the right firing pin?

This bolt head is a virtual perfect fit for a COLT "sporter" A/R in 7.62-39,it's an A/R15 rifle chambered in short russian and this BH is only about 1/64" longer than the factory BH. Bolt head depth is the same,fits well in the carrier and only needs the enhanced FP for proper primer strike depth.Bravo Optics Planet!

It does not. 2 locking lugs must be modified to work with that platform

Does this use a standard 5.56x45 length firing pin or does it require an extra length 7.62x39 specific firing pin?

While a regular 5.56x45 firing pin fits, you will need a 7.62x39 firing pin if you want reliable primer ignition.

Yes, this Spikes Tactical 7.62x39 Bolt Assembly will fit to any 5.56/.223 BCG and allow you to utilize 7.62x39 in your rifle (with a barrel swap as well).

The Spikes Tactical 7.62x39 Bolt Assembly should function fine with a side charging upper/BCG. As long as its chambered in 7.62x39, 50 Beowulf, or 6.5 Grendel.

The Spikes Tactical 7.62x39 Bolt Assembly will work with any Milspec AR15 BCG with an upper that is chambered in 7.62x39, 50 Beowulf, or 6.5 Grendel.
