No. Use the front sight that was on the flash suppressor that you removed

What thread is this device?

Thread pitch is in material. It slides on to the barrel using the splines on the barrel. It's held in place by the same castle nut and set screw that held on the removed flash suppressor.

Can this be put on the new scout/squad M1A when bought the gun has no muzzle break just end of barrel
