You have to use this wedge with the spuhr scope mount (has a precision machined slot) that this wedge fits in and as you push the wedge in (10 deg angle twards the scope base and the flat facing flat part of scope) you push unit it is no slop on bottom of you scope and WAAZZAAM you scope is perfectly aligned and flat! Simple and effective.
