do these have spring loaded primers to prevent damage to firing pin?

They have a flexible polymer “primer”, which serves to protect your firing pin.

Can these be used to check head space ? Like a go gage

Negative. Those are made of steel for precision. These are only for dry-firing (malfunction clearing drills, etc) to prevent wear.
