According to Optics Planet page on what's included list AND the Swampfox website whats in the box list, it DOES come with the 3 inch sunshade.

I’m stuck between vortex diamond and swamp fox patriot. in your opinion, what would be the better choice for a .458 socom?

Both are capable choices, but they are aimed at slightly different uses. The Vortex Diamondback is more hunting-oriented with a simpler layout and controls. The Swampfox Patriot places more emphasis on reticle detail and turret adjustments, which can be useful for managing the heavier drop and varied distances common with .458 SOCOM.

What does it mean focus range 50 yards to infinity when parallax can go to 25 yards. If your target is 25 yards away will it be blurry?

The parallax adjustment for the Swampfox Patriot 4-16x44mm Rifle Scope is 20 yards- infinity. So both those values on the product page are wrong. The product page is being updated.

Does anyone have a problem with losing the reticle in the woods or through shade? Wanting to put this on a rifle I use for hunting and target shooting

If you are worried about that, I would look at the Kentucky scope by swampfox. It has a reticle that can be illuminated.
