the threading is the same on what I intend to put this on, but the rifle is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Will the .308 version of this work? — 2 Answers

Yes, you can use a .308 muzzle device for 6.5 Creedmoor.

It will work but is not entirely correct as the 30 caliber bore is.308" while a 6.5 Creedmoor is .264" ,and that = .048" of freebore which will correctly prevent muzzle climb by directing blast away from the muzzle and diverting it to the side and bottom vents and holes. This will allow more gas flow to be directed in all directions negating to a degree the brakes efficiency .
