It does fit a Gen 2 Ruger Ranch but takes away the bolt lock feature, you are still able to operate the bolt on safe.

No this is for the gen 1. You would have to notch it out for the three position saftery to work on the gen 2.

it does fit Gen2 but as others have said, the shroud needs notched in order for the third position (safety/bolt lock) to work. I ordered the titanium finish and was able to grind out the notch easily (about 10 minutes and a little polishing when done) and it works on all three positions. easy peasy
