Will this work on a Remington model 700 7mm sps ?

Howa and Remington Rifles do not share an exact scope mount. They have the same hole spacing, but the receiver radiuses have a small difference between the two, on the rear bridges of the receivers. Remington 700's use the part number ending in (700). Howa 1500's use the part number ending in (734)

Hi Just ordered 96x700 x40 rings, what does the # 40 represent ?

The 40X, a 700 style action, is one of the early long-range target and varmint rifles that started production in the 1950s. The 40X is another model that these mounts will work with.

Talley doesn't offer a 20MOA model of these rings at the moment.

Are these mounts 20 moa? Or is there a difference in the height of front mount to the height of rear mount? Thanks

No these mounts are 0moa, they do not have any change in height.
